64/5000 Purchasing power is still on the stake, but consumption is growing

 It slows the purchasing power of Italians, but consumption continues to grow in the first half of the year, remaining above + 1%. They grow more in volume than in value, with less promotions. Not only that, after a long recessive phase, sales are finally signaling encouraging signals to the South, where it is more expensive than the North for the "home table".

 
Growth in food consumption (+ 2.9%) is pushing up the total Gdo sales (+ 1.7%), mainly due to the boom in fruit and vegetable sales (+ 10.4%), , beverages (+ 3.8%), ice cream and frozen (+ 5.4%). Sales that have risen mainly due to the weather, and added to the positive data reported by fish (+ 1.8%) and packaged food (+ 1.1%). On the other hand, the progressive contraction of non-food sales (-5.6%), personal care (-0.3%) and home care (-1%)
